Nikon XS Series of Total stations
The Nikon XS series of total stations provide a lightweight and durable total station, backed by Nikon’s leading optical components. With the lightweight design, and clear and precise optics, you get a package that reduces operator fatigue and is easy to use. With over 10 hours of continuous battery life, you can squeeze the maximum out of your working time. The working time can be extended, as the batteries are hot swapable, allowing you to never have to slow down and you can continue to work as long as required. Weighing only 9.5 lb, the Nikon XS series total station is easy to setup, especially when the optional laser plummet is included.
The Nikon XS Series total station has on-board software that makes the storing of point information including codes, angles and distances a breeze. With the dual face LCD screens and keyboards, you can easily store the data you need quickly and easily. With the integrated Bluetooth module, you can also connect to a data collector. The Nikon XS series is supported by both Carlson’s SurvCE and MicroSurvey’s FieldGenius allowing you to choose the software you want to work with. With an integrated compensator, the total station can accomodate the distortions caused by both local atmospheric conditions and the Earth’s curvature.
The highly accurate EDM, allows you to take both reflectorless and prism shots with ease. The XS series of total stations allows you to measure reflectorless out to 2600 ft and up to 16,404 ft with a prism. When measuring with a prism you can acheive accuracy of +/- 2 mm + 2 ppm and +/-3 mm + 2 ppm for reflectorless shots.
Condition Of Equipment
This specific instrument, is in excellent condition. There are only minor cosmetic scuffs and scratches on the instruments. This specific instrument is the dual face version, with a laser plummet. The case is scuffed and scratched but is still working great. The instrument has been tested and is measuring within expected tolerances. The previous owner was a surveying firm on the West Coast who used the total station regularly but regularly serviced and took great care of the instrument.
